Iran’s Athletics Technical Director Teymour Ghiasi has revealed that Ehsan Hadadi will take part in the 2013 Asian Championships in Wuhan, China.

“Hadadi will not attend in ExxonMobil Bislett Games in Oslo, Norway because his priority is to take part in the 21st Asian Athletics Championships in Wuhan, China,” Teymour Ghiasi said.

“Hadadi’s masseur Igor Mozgov has arrived in Iran and he is currently working with Ehsan to prepare him for the Eugene IDL/Prefontaine Classic which will take place in Oregon on May 29th. Hadadi’s main goal is to book a place in the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio,” Ghiasi added.

The 21st Asian Athletics Championships will be held in Wuhan, China from June 3 to June 7 while the Discus Throw event will take place on June 6th.

The Iranian discus thrower won a silver medal at the 2012 Summer Olympics with a 68.18m throw.

His medal ended Iran's 64-year-old medal drought in events other than wrestling, weightlifting, and taekwondo.
